My passion for salsa started when I was only five years old. Every Friday evening, my parents would take our family to my parents' favorite Mexican food restaurant in Fort Worth, TX. As soon as we were seated, I would immediately stuff my face with chips and salsa, always ruining my dinner and bringing myself to the brink of sickness. I just simply could not get enough! My love for salsa only intensified through my childhood, as my mother struggled to keep our shelves stocked with salsa. Much to her chagrin, I would immediately devour any salsa brought home from the grocery store. To others, my love for salsa was an addiction. To me, salsa was a passion and embodied the perfect treat. Indeed, all other snacks waned in comparison to the fresh tomato goodness stacked high on a crispy, salty chip. Fast forward to my freshman year in college (1996) when a good friend taught me how to make a very basic pico de gallo, which would serve as the foundation for all of my future recipes. Over the years, I have experimented with different ingredients, spices, and blends, ultimately evolving into the perfect recipe. After years of giving my salsa away, I turned my passion (and addiction) into a side hustle and created Crawford Family Foods, LLC. It's my honor to present Salsa Junkie- a fresh, restaurant-style gourmet salsa that will keep you coming back for more!!
